Tinos , the island of Aeolos, is one of the most beautiful islands of the Cyclades, Being orthodoxy's holy pilgrimade, every year gathers thousands of visitors from all over the world. Apart from the temple of the virgin. Mary and its miraculous icon, it is worth visiting Tino's unknown mainland territories, an outdoor museum of Folk Art and Architecture. The visitor will be charmed by the various traditional villages with their cycladic architecture characteristics and picturesque environment.

The famous marble decorative sculptures of their buildings, including chapels and the famous dovecotes of Tinos, bear witness to the artistic tradition of the island that is home of many great modern Greek sculptors and painters (Halepas, Sochos, Gyzis, Galitis, Lytras).
The natural environment combines the rocky landscape of the Cyclades, Little green ravines and wonderful beaches.
One of the island's main characteristics is the countless lines of dry stone walls, used to challenge the sloping terrain pose and to protect cultivated soil. Agricultural dry stone constructions such as stables, huts, threshing floors and many more are shattered throughout the Tinos land, constituting an important part of the architectural and agricultural heritage of Tinos.
Most regions of Tinos are of Great archeological interest and especially the region of Xoburgo, where traces of a large fortified citadel with its streets, as well as the sanctuary of Demeter can be found. On the southern side of the mountain one can see the ruins of an Enetic castle which dused to be the medieval capital of the island.
It is now know that the main road connecting the sea port with the Enetic castle still exists in his ancient form, leading from Tripotamos to the chapel of Panagia (Thiridia).
From that point on, the ancient wall and the alley paved with flagstones is preserved even in our days.
